Marguerite E. Dillon, 85, of Sproul, passed away Monday June 20, 2022 at the home of her daughter. She was born August 11, 1936 in East Freedom, daughter of the late Albert and Mazie (Musselman) Aungst. She married Joseph E. Dillon Jr. on November 26, 1952 in East Freedom and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2013.
Surviving is a daughter Joy S. Claar and husband Charles Richard of East Freedom, a son Ricky Dillon and wife Tonya of Roaring Spring, five grandchildren Brian, Teresa, Brock, Matthew and Dale, six great grandchildren Samantha, Rachael, Jeremy, Benjamin, Rory and Kayla, four great great grandchildren Adelyn, Lacie, Marissa and Hailey, three sisters Geraldine Feather of East Freedom, Shirley Black of Duncansville and Linda Aungst of East Freedom and a brother Dennis Aungst of East Freedom. She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Lee Aungst.
Marguerite was employed as a cashier at Peggy’s Diner and was also employed at Cove Shoe. She was a member of the Claysburg Church of God. She enjoyed going to flea markets and following her husband’s band The Country Travelers.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday June 23, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday June 24, 2022 at the Claysburg Church of God, Pastor Kim Swindell officiating. Interment at Sproul Cemetery.
