Mary Ann “Mutz” Housel, 61, of Altoona, passed away Monday February 28, 2022 at home. She was born April 16, 1960 in Roaring Spring, daughter of Regina (Burk) Walter and the late Levi E. Walter.
Surviving is her mother of Altoona, a daughter Kristy Black (Rodney Hosterman) of Altoona, a son Joseph Housel Jr. (Ramona Ward) of Duncansville, 4 grandchildren Haylee and Ryan Black, Brody Hostermen and Jaiden Housel, a sister Deb Edmundson, a brother Ray Walter, her special friend Kenneth Goodfellow and her former husband Joseph Housel Sr. She was preceded in death by a sister Candy.
Mary was a 1978 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Guardian Healthcare, Altoona and she attended Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville.
Mary enjoyed cooking and cookbooks, cake decorating, her two cats “June” and “Eddie” and taking care of people.
Mutz always put others first.
Friends will be received from 4 P.M. until the 7:00 P.M. funeral service on Thursday March 3, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
