Matthew W. Thomas

Matthew W. Thomas, 35, of Claysburg, passed away Sunday March 20, 2022 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born July 29, 1986 in Dover, DE. He married Amanda Martin on June 1, 2013 in East Freedom.

Surviving is his wife of Claysburg, his mother Susan (Findley) Coyle of Dover, DE, his father Bill Thomas of Punta Gorda, FL, his step father Mike Lewis of Dover, DE, a son A.J. Pollard, brothers Geoff Thomas of Fort Myers, FL and Danny Thomas of Smyrna, DE, a niece, two nephews, his mother and father-in-law Karen and John Martin of Claysburg and his sisters-in-law Marissa Martin of Osterburg and Summer Martin of Martinsburg.

Matthew was employed as a receiving lead at REI. Bedford for the past 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, Bedford dirt racing and hanging out with his family.

Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. on Friday March 25, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.
