Nancy J. Hinkledire. 80, of Claysburg, passed away Monday September 10, 2018 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born July 19, 1938 in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Warren and Hattie (Dick) Medasia. She married Milton Hinkledire on October 17, 1975.
Surviving are her husband of Claysburg, two daughters Brenda J. Helsel (Joe) of East Freedom and Amy L. Rishel (Kip) of Claysburg, three step children Johnny Hinkledire (Colleen) of Duncansville, Bobby Hinkledire (Karen) of Altoona and Sandy Hinkledire of Bedford, 6 grandchildren April LaMarche (Sean), Andrea Weyandt (Barry), Jeremy Helsel (Beth) Joey Helsel, Timothy Helsel (Olivia) and Kylie Redinger, 4 step grandchildren Keysha, Bobbi Jo, Zach and Alex, 21 great grandchildren and a brother Wayne Medasia (Sue) of New Enterprise.
Mrs. Hinkledire was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. She was a 1957 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School.
Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, cooking for her family and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday September 13, 2018 at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, with Pastor David Maxwell officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren Ladies Ministry.
