Nancy Lee Corle

Nancy Lee Corle, 84, of Osterburg, passed away Monday April 10, 2023 at home. She was born May 1, 1938, in Osterburg, daughter of the late Claude Claycomb and Vergie (Black) Claycomb McDonald. 

On Friday October 15, 1965 in Winchester, VA, she married Gerald L. Corle, who preceded her in death onJanuary 13, 1995.

Surviving is a son Robert L. Corle of Osterburg, brothers Rickey and Galen McDonald and a sister Peggy Provance. She was preceded in death by a daughter Brenda L. Corle on March 2, 2015, her stepfather Ned McDonald and grandparents Wilson and Linnie Claycomb and John and Bessie Black.

Mrs. Corle was a lifelong member of Trinity Reformed Church of Osterburg. She was a 1957 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and retired from the Chestnut Ridge School District cafeteria in 2000.

During the Halloween season, Nancy Lee was well known for giving gobs as treats. She enjoyed mowing her lawn in the summertime and spent most of her other spare time doing word searches.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at the Trinity Reformed Church, Osterburg. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the church with Pastor Brad Allison officiating. Interment at Osterburg Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to her church or the Osterburg Cemetery Association.
