Nellie Diehl Arrrangement

Nellie C. Diehl, 95, a resident of the Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Brooks Mills, went home to be with her Lord, on Sunday February 7. 2021. She was born January 22, 1926 in East Freedom, daughter of the late Charles Roy and Sylvania (Stine) Lingenfelter. She married Roland E. Diehl on February 8, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2000.

 

 

Nellie was a 1944 graduate of Claysburg High School and attended Bob Jones College, Cleveland, TN. She was a longtime member of Grace Fellowship Church of Leamersville, where she taught Sunday School and Bible classes. She also taught Good News Clubs in local communities. In later years, she led Bible studies at Blair Christian Home and at the Village at Morrisons Cove.

 

 

Nellie was a seamstress and in addition to Bible study, she enjoyed genealogy.

 

 

Surviving are five children: Joy Simington, Boca Raton, FL, David Diehl (Lori), Nampa, ID, Linda Herr (Tim), New Holland, PA, Ronald Diehl (Megan), Line Lexington, PA and Rodney Diehl (Libby), Owings Mills, MD, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Evelyn, Laura Hoffman, C. Marie Claar, Margaret Eicher, Arthur, Mary Ellen, Helen Bowser, Leroy, Geraldine Stiver Teeter and June.

 

 

 Nellie’s motto was “For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain”

 

 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
