Richard A. Eicher, 74, of Claysburg, passed away Thursday May 4, 2023 at home. He was born October 22,1948 in Claysburg, son of the late Donald “Skip” and Mabel (Musselman) Eicher. He married Joyce M. Way on November 5, 1976 in Claysburg and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2019.

 

 

Surviving is a daughter Tracy Walters and husband Michael of East Freedom and two granddaughters Sierra and Lily Walters.

 

 

Richard was a 1966 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1968 – 1970. He retired, in 2010, as Produce Manager at C & S Market, Claysburg and was previously employed at General Refractories and the Quaker Store.

 

 

Richard was a member of the Claysburg American Legion and VFW and enjoyed going to his hunting camp, fishing, and watching his granddaughters play softball.

 

 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
