Richard H. Finnegan, 82, of Imler, passed away Friday March 4, 2022 at Homewood at Martinsburg. He was born July 10, 1939, in Imler, son of the late Ralph and L. Blanche (Stutzman) Finnegan. He married Donna Berkhimer March 15, 1958 in Claysburg.
Surviving is his wife of Imler, two sons Alan (Michelle) of Claysburg and Greg (Sue) of East Freedom, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers Merrill, Donald and Jack and two sisters Gladys Knisely and Lois Knisely.
Dick was a member of the Greenfield United Church of Christ, where he served as Treasurer for 48 years, Consistory member and caretaker of the cemetery. He was a 1957 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. He retired from Creative Pultrusions in 2001, and was previously employed at Small Tubes, General Refractories, Champion Homes and Queen Lumber Company.
Dick was a Steelers fan and enjoyed watching westerns, tractors, heavy equipment and steam engine shows on television.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday March 9, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 10, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Wendy Farber, officiating. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Duncansville V.F.W. or the Greenfield United Church of Christ.
