Richard A. Anderson “Rick” Anderson Jr., 67, of Spring Mills, passed away Sunday April 8, 2018 at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona. He was born September 27, 1950 in Bellefonte, son of the late Richard A. Sr. and Ruth Virginia (Simmons) Anderson. He married Joyce L. Lose on January 22, 1988 in Bellefonte. She passed away September 26, 2017.

Surviving are a daughter Nicole A. Waybright and husband James of Osterburg, two sons William Anderson and wife L’Oreal of Newport and Christopher Anderson, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a brother Daniel Anderson of Bellefonte.

Rick was a 1969 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He was an Army Veteran and served during Vietnam Era. He retired as a Corrections Officer from Rockview State Prison after more than 25 years of service and was previously employed at Cerro in Bellefonte.

He was a member of the Centre Hall American Legion and the Bellefonte Elks.

He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
