Robert A. Peck Jr.

Robert A. Peck, Jr., 58, of Osterburg, went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday November 7, 2020 at home. He was born February 17, 1962 in Syracuse, NY, son of Babetta (Johnston) Peck and the late Robert A. Peck, Sr. He married Penny VanDerMallie on July 4, 1986 in Canandaigua, NY.

Surviving are his wife, his mother, three children Ariel Plowman, Nathaniel and Jonathan Peck, two granddaughters, a brother and two sisters.

Robert was a 1980 graduate of Elbridge High School and received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1985. He was employed in the VA Medical System for 38 years, the past 28 years at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona. 

He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg.
 

Robert enjoyed board games, playing cards, tennis, biking, hiking and especially spending time with his family.
 

Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. on Monday November 9, 2020 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday November 10, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 480 Emmanuel Dr., Claysburg, PA 16625, with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Osterburg Community Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or to his church.
