Robert B. Shallop, 92, of New Enterprise, formerly of Duncansville, passed away Saturday August 13, 2022 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. He was born March 25, 1930 in Erie, son of the late Hart and Doris (Woodworth) Shallop. He married Carolyn Willey on July 16, 1955 and she preceded him in death on January 15, 1997. He then married Eleanor (Feather) Rice on May 14, 2008.
Surviving is his wife, a daughter Kathleen Smith and husband Craig of Kent, OH, a son Thomas Shallop and wife Sara of Bradford, two granddaughters Abbie Leind and Leslie Hofmeister and a great granddaughter Alice Hofmeister.
Bob was a 1948 graduate of Meadville High School, attended Edinboro College and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a salesman from Duo-Fast Fasteners, Pittsburgh in 1990 and was also a self-employed draftsman. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg, the Masons and the Jaffa Shrine.
Bob enjoyed playing guitar and was a lifelong musician. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending winters in Florida.
Friends will be received from 2 P.M. until the 4:00 P.M. memorial service on Saturday August 20, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Andrew Camenga officiating.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, who cared for Bob, during his final days.
