Robert L. “Bob” Weaver, 90, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully, Tuesday May 16, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 19, 1933, in Bellwood, son of the late Earl and Irma (Plubell) Weaver. On May 8, 1954, he married Vecelia P. “Toddy” Ott, and she preceded him in death on July 10, 2018.
Surviving is three daughters, Pamela L. Riley of East Freedom, Holly A. Weitzel (Mike) of Duncansville, Christy L. Weaver-Smith (Stephen) of East Freedom, 8 grandchildren, Heather, Hope, Wayne, Mandy, Curt, Justin, Scott and Eian, 12 great grandchildren, son-in-law Randy Joyner, brothers Earl, Charles and George Weaver, sister Emma Miller, dear friend Linda Wise, and neighbors and friends Tim and Peggy Edmundson and Liz Martin. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kimberly Weaver, son-in-law Dan Riley, brothers Merril and Melvin Weaver and sister Ruth Mock.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954, where he learned to be a diesel mechanic. He was employed as a diesel mechanic for 44 years and owned and operated Weaver’s Diesel and Truck Repair for 28 years. Bob was a member of the Penn Yan, NY, V.F.W. and Moose and was of the protestant faith.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
