Roger L. Corle, 74 of Queen passed away Thursday November 18, 2021 at home. He was born January 3, 1947 in Queen, son of the late Vernon F. “Son” and Reba J. (Hoenstine) Corle. He married Emily J. Walter on August 22, 1970 at Grace United Church of Christ, Claysburg with Rev. Joseph M. Steinert officiating.
Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Emily Corle, sisters-in-law Carol Corle and Mabel Sell, brother-in-law Charlie Wheeler, many nieces, nephews and cousins and a special family friend Joyce Corle. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gary L. Corle, infant sister Diana Corle, grandparents Fred and Mary Corle and Miles and Mary Hoenstine, sisters-in-law Naomi Weyant, Joanne Wheeler, Carolyn Reed, brothers-in-law Dale Walter, Robert Weyant and Jack Reed and a niece Trisha Corle.
Roger was a member of the Greenfield United Church of Christ, Imler. He was a 1964 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and retired in 2003 from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, as a maintenance repairman at the Reynoldsdale Fish Culture station. He previously was employed for several years as a mechanic at Zeigler Chevrolet.
In his youth, Roger enjoyed driving stock cars on dirt tracks in the area. He enjoyed NASCAR races, hunting and walking.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
