Ruby R. Strayer

Ruby R. Strayer, 85, a resident of Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away Wednesday December 9, 2020 at the home. She was born October 7, 1935 in Roaring Spring daughter of the late Samuel T. and Violet (Foor) Berkheimer. She was married to Thomas R. Strayer who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son Philip R. Strayer, two grandsons Brock and Tyler Strayer, a great grandson Noah Strayer, and step children David and Thomas Strayer Jr, Cathy Lloyd and Carol Price. She was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Lynn Strayer, brothers Harold and Leon Berkheimer and sisters Donna O’Dellick and Mildred Davis.

Ruby retired as a machine operator from Cove Shoe. She enjoyed playing cards and her animals.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday December 11, 2020 at Alto-Reste Park, with Pastor James Neatrour officiating.
