Ruth L. Corl

Ruth L. Corl, 92, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Imler, went peacefully to her Heavenly home, on Sunday June 18, 2023. She was born January 18, 1931 in McKee, daughter of the late Harvey and Jennie (Shaw) Boyer.

On August 15, 1951, she married Donald P. Corl. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2013.

Surviving is her son, Donald P. Corl, Jr. (Jennie); daughter Carole S. Claycomb (Doug); eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one more coming in November; sister-in-law Gloria J. Corl of Bedford, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth self-taught herself to play the piano at a very young age and played in the church for many, many years serving the Lord. She attended Claysburg Bible Church and played piano there until she could no longer play. She loved painting, and gave paintings away to people that she thought would enjoy them. Ruth had such a generous heart and was loved by all who knew her.

Her greatest joy was being with her family and getting visits from special people.

Friends will be received from 2:00 P.M. until the 5:00 P.M. funeral service on Thursday June 29, 2023 at the Claysburg Bible Church, with Pastor Keith Showalter officiating. Interment at Imler Valley Cemetery.
