William M. Ritchey III, 45, of Imler, passed away suddenly Monday May 31, 2021 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born on Mother’s Day May 9, 1976 in Roaring Spring son of William M. Ritchey Jr. and Glenda (Weyandt) Ritchey.
Surviving are daughters Carmen Ritchey at home and Brooke Frederick of Pittsburgh, his significant other of 23 years Tara Dively, a brother Brian Ritchey of Hagerstown, MD., his maternal grandmother Erma Weyandt and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by grandparents William and Carmen Ritchey, and grandfather Glenn Weyant.
He was a 1994 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and had worked at Altoona Pipe and Steel as a burner/fitter for 22 years. He had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the family hunting camp in Potter County, and family vacations at the outer banks.
Friends will be received from 2 pm until the 5 pm funeral service Thursday, June 3, at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Pastor John Clemens will officiate. Internment in Claysburg Union Cemetery.
